For white background a sheet  of white acryl glass is used and backlighted.

Additional white acryl-glass plate for white background. Specimen in position direct on background. Tube like diffusor screen to avoid shadows and to harsh reflections.
 



Without a backlight (150 W halogen lamp) the white background will be gray.
