Heulandit_Chabasit_Agaete
Chabazite in a  small vug lined with Heulandite. Specimen of 30 mm from Montaña Blanca just north of Agaete.

Right: A note printed in Neues Jahrbuch Mineralogie from 1870, refering to Calcite and "Desmin" = Stilbite and Chabazite from Agaete. Hessenbergs pictures are reprinted in Goldschmidts Atlas der Kristallformen.

Top:  A Stilbite specimen (45 mm) from Barranco de Agaete, just south  of the town. The steep walls of the Barranco show vugs up to over 10 cm, lined with Stilbite up to about 2 cm. The walls of this Barranco show partly young lava at the north side and old basalts at the south. Stilbite is only present in the old rock.

(23)   Degollada de Veneguera
Natrolite
Cavity in the the Basat at Degollade de Veneguera lined with Analcim and "Mesotype" (Natrolite ore Mesolite). Field of view is about 20 mm.
Dellogada de Veneguera is the place which was first mentioned  as a zeolite-location by Leopold von Buch (1825).
