A
gradient background from white in front to darker or black
in background can be made by shadowing the far end of the white
acryl glass plate and the diffusor tunnel with a black cloth. The area behind the specimen is then mostly in the dark. |
Principal setup for a gradient background. Some lights are swiched of for better visibility. This kind of background needs individual fine tuning which is best made by either life-view on the computer sceen or with test pictures. There are many variations possible, if a semitransparent acryl glass sheet is used and a colour foil is placed between glass plate and acryl glass plate. A balanced backlight from below controls the light effect. |
Stellerite from Gunndedah, NWS, Australia. 8x11 cm. With white to black gradient on white acryl glass. The front lights are softened with additional diffusor screens. (Not visible in the setup picture) |
A red to black gradient is possible with a semitransparent acryl glass plate with a color foil below plus a balanced back light. |
This is the same specimen as shown in Diffusor tunnel , only the far end of the diffusor is coverd with black cloth. |
