Aragonite and Calcite, Limberg bei Sasbach, Kaiserstuhl, Baden (Germany)
Aragonite is known from Limberg near Sasbach since prior to 1820. It forms needle like, clear crystals up to a few cm and is typical associated with hemispherical crusts of Calcite, sometimes with Hyalite and occures mostly in  fissures in the Limburgite rock.  Most productive and famous was Quarry VII.  until 1973, when the Limberg became a natural reserve area. Aragonite and Calcite is less frequent in the vugs of Limburgite and belongs to a later mineralisation  period than the Zeolites.
